Marylka Sofia Puchalska
Case Manager, Director. AdvDipMid, BMedSci (Hons) (First)
Marylka has over 14 years’ experience of case management and was the Regional Manager for the Children and Young Persons‘ team for a leading case management company.
Marylka also has 15 years’ personal experience as an advocate for a teenager with an acquired brain injury, and has also worked on a voluntary basis with families who have children and young adults with brain injury, providing advice and support.
These experiences have brought valuable insight into every aspect of care, rehabilitation and educational issues, along with insight into the emotional demands on families and the effects of these.
She is also very much aware of the impact of having support/care in the home, and understands the need for honesty, empathy, professionalism and the need to build a trusting relationship.
Marylka has undertaken Bond Solon training for Expert Report writing. Marylka enjoys dog walking, horse riding and arts and crafts. She also has an adult doll’s house she is working through dressing room by room.
Case Manager, Nurse Trainer. RGN, RSCN, NMP, PGDip
Karen is a skilled and proactive Children and Young Person’s Case Manager with 30 years of experience of paediatric nursing. She has a diverse and varied knowledge working with children and young people in a number of areas including surgery, neurology, orthopaedic, medicine, respite, community, palliative care and learning disabilities, which is reflected in her case management practise.
Karen has a strong record of maintaining exceptional standards of care and delivers a high quality service. She is passionate about the quality of care children and young people should receive, both through case management and within the statutory services. Karen is keen that care delivered is evidence-based and within national standards. She has a proven record of developing strong relationships and links with other clients, services, professionals and the medico-legal team.
Karen can also offer training in enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, epilepsy, medication and moving and handling.
Case Manager, BA Hons Social Work
Lorraine has been a Children and Young People Brain Injury Case Manager for over 4 years. Prior to this she worked in Social Care for 18 years, of which 3 years were spent working in the private sector and 15 years were spent working for Social Services in various roles.
These roles included time spent as a Support Worker, Deputy Unit Manager, Moving and Handling Assessor and then a further 9 years working as a Care Manager / Social Worker.
Lorraine has expertise in working with clients and their families, managing clients with complex needs ranging from clients with brain injuries and cerebral palsy, to clients with profound physical and cognitive difficulties, as well as spinal injuries. She has extensive experience in completing initial assessments, setting up and organising support packages, including complex 24 hour packages, and coordination of individually tailored multi-disciplinary services.
Case Manager, BA Hons Social Work
Jade has expertise in working with young clients, their families and support staff. Her experience includes the assessment of clients, providing care and 24-hour care packages, working closely with the client and their families. Preparing and supporting clients and families through transitions in a skilled and approachable manner to reassure the client and their family, as well as liaising and coordinating with a range of professionals.
Jade is also experienced in organising and leading multi-disciplinary teams to ensure therapeutic and rehabilitation needs are being met.
Jade is committed to working in partnership with children, young people and their families in order to achieve positive outcomes.
Emily Sambhi (nee Stevens)
Support Worker Manager
Emily has a wealth of experience as a Personal Assistant for over 5 years to various Directors within both the Health and Construction Industry and joined MSP Case Management as PA to Marylka Puchalska in 2018. Emily has recently moved over to a new, challenging but rewarding role as Support Worker Manager for the company.
As Support Worker Manager, Emily’s role comprises of ensuring all personnel documentation and training of Support Workers is up to date, managing the recruitment process of new support staff and inducting new employees in the companies Policies and Procedures. She has a strong commitment to implementing safe recruitment procedures for MSP which is of benefit for clients and employees alike. She has an eye for detail and enjoys being highly organised, which is of advantage in this demanding role. With a can-do attitude, Emily loves providing a friendly and efficient service for our clients and positively contributing to the productivity of the company. She is delighted to be in a position where she feels she is making a difference.
Emily enjoys a work-life balance. Volunteering in her spare time, as well as enjoying walks in the countryside and being a member of the Northern Musical Theatre Orchestra.

Fran has worked in a professional capacity with children and young people with physical and learning difficulties for several years. Fran is a qualified occupational therapist and has experience of working with children, young people and adults with a variety of conditions: cerebral palsy, brain injury, learning disability, autism, physical disability.
Fran’s expertise lies in thorough assessment of the client and their family’s needs and the ability to tailor individualised care and support packages. Fran is experienced in working in a multi-disciplinary setting and co-ordinating groups of professionals to ensure positive outcomes are achieved for the client and their family. Fran works in partnership with the client and their family and ensures that their wishes, thoughts, and feelings are understood and that they strongly influence the care, therapeutic and rehabilitation needs of the client. Fran is always there for the clients and families that she supports and has a warming and reassuring presence which is highly valued by those she works with.
In her spare time, Fran enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys walking her dogs, exercising, painting furniture and cooking food.
Business and Finance Director
BEng Hons Civil and Structural Engineering
Ian has been the Director of his own Structural Engineering Company for over 12 years and is also the Business and Finance Manager for MSP Case Management Ltd.
He brings a wealth of experience into the management and finances of the company and ensures that client funds are safe and managed appropriately.
In his spare time Ian competes in fell running events on a regular basis. Ian is also an avid cyclist.
